Disc get nipped help bro'ss

I have 2 motoro in my tank is it normal for them to nipped the smaller one?

my big male takes a little bite every once in a while out of my smaller female, but only when its feeding time

Wait for them to settle down or remove the smaller female?

How big are your rays? Its common in breeding for the males to nip at the females, usually along the rear of there disk on either side of the tail. You have to be careful though, if the male is doing to much damage he can kill the female from the stress. If you have a mature male nipping at a small female who isn't ready to breed I would definitely separate them.

Might think about putting a divider in the tank. Let them get use to seeing one another and at the same time, keep your demale safe till your male gets use to her being in his area..
