Disc Golf???

All hippie jokes aside (as you can see by my avatar, i'm no hippie), does anyone play disc golf?

There's been a recent explosion of disc golf courses in the NW in the last couple of years so it's gotta be catching on. Before i started playing this year, i'd only seen it in old movies.

There was a month at school where I had a four hour break between classes everyday so a friend and I would go play at a nearby course. He had been into it for a while so I just borrowed his stuff and haven't played since. Great way to kill time.

I got nothing but hippie jokes man, sorry. they were the only ones I ever knew who played. If it makes any difference, the guy was from UP, in Michigan though.

Everytime my friends ask me what i'm doing and i mention disc golf they're like oh you smoke now or oh you're a hippie? If you look up eugene in wikipedia, which i did when you get transfered here, it even mentions the "large population of hippies". Makes it an uphill battle when you're trying to tell people that disc golf isn't only for hippies

Over here we call if Frolfing or Frisbee Golf. Most of my friends play it.

it does seems to be more popular with the "younger crowd" cannot believe I just said that......
