Hi MFK, I'm just curious to see if anyone has experienced a full recovery after their rays suffering damage such as mine. (Been getting gnawed at by my gatf) my BD still eats like a champ... but I'm getting worried about him getting bothered... also worried about the areas regrowing will loose its spotting pattern. Anyone with experience care to chime in?

Lovely Ray.

Yeah will heal no problems however pretty sure spots don't come back and will heal just black.

I'm not sure on BD's, but my wild caught marble came with a couple big chunks out of his disc and the end of his tail missing, the disc grew back perfectly with spots and all...can't tell where the damage even was now...unfortunately the tail won't grow back. Was just the very tip, so no big deal.

Bigfishnut Bigfishnut thanks for the contrary input on the spotting regrowth. I know the tail segments if missing doesn't regenerate but now at least I know that there has been examples of spotting regrowth. Let's see how he heals in due time.

Thanks for the other input fellas, cheers!
