So, I had two discus, and for about ten days they had my 55 to themselves. I added 5 more discus, and rearranged decor, but still, the two tank veterans are bullying the new arrivals. Are there any ways I could stop or help this without dividing the tank? I also have access to lots of tank safe rocks if theres anything I can do with them.

Def change the decor around in the tank. I would net out all the fish into a bucket while doing this, put the new fish into the tank and let them settle in for 15 minutes. Then add the old fish in last. Hopefully that will reset the dominance chain.

It'll take a couple of weeks for the new guys to take thier place in the dominance chain. Almost all new discus that are introduced into a tank that has discus in it already get bullied. I have one thats 6 1/2 and was the dominant male of my tank. When I introduced a new 5 1/2 he was obviously bullied till about 2 weeks after he was in the tank. Now the smaller one is the dominant fish in the tank......
