Can discus and angels go together? i have them together and they are about the same size but i can see some fighting going on will they melow out or will one kill the other thanks.

I keep 5 angels along with 5 discus in a 180 and haven't had any issues. They all have their own established territories and pretty much stick together in their own little packs. It's kinds of funny when it comes to feeding time that my discus are actually a lot more aggressive then the angels are. I never would have guessed that.

What size tank and how many do you have?

I also have discus and 1 angel. The angel is slightly smaller than the discus and was there weeks before I got the discus but they are more aggressive when it comes to eating and will sometimes chase the angel away.

Yes, many people do this. However, some die hard discus people say that angels may carry organisms that are harmful to discus. I don't know. I haven't kept angels in over 30 years. I think the angels could possibly out compete the discus for food. That would be my objection to keeping them together. I like to keep discus in species tanks. I believe they do better in groups of their own kind and nothing else.

Most people think discus are so delicate. They aren't. They can be kept in peaceful community tanks and actually do better than when kept in a species only tank. As others have said, they get to be more aggressive feeders. When kept in a species only tank, I've found that they tend to be lazy because there's no competition. When I get my 10 red turquoise, they are going in the 65H with the juvie angels.

Too many angels anmd discus in a 60 (Which is kinda averge-sih for a small amount of discus) may present a problem when they hit maturity. Go with more discus in a 1:4 ratio just in case. Meaning for every 4 discus, you have 1 angel. OR 1:3 if you are up to the challenge.

I was just at an award winning Discus breeders house yesterday. His show tank has Discus a couple of Angles and some Neon Tetras. They all seem to get along great. But they are in heaven. I have never seen such a set up. After visiting his place, I had to rethink my tank plans.
