Hey. I have had a Jardini arowana and a motoro stingray in a 330 gallon tank. I do a WC every week 50 percent and i want to put some discus in there but i'm a bit afraid of how the Jardini would react to them. The Jardini is about 6 in along with the motoro and the discus i'm planning is about 2 or 3 inches. Is this okay? I originally bought my Jardini in a 100 gallon tank with a bunch of discus about the same sizes. I'm planning to get 3 discus all together all about the same size. The Jardini's mouth size is about half an in? 1 in? Stingray i know will have no trouble. The Jardini also seems pretty tame, he is always scared whenever anyone walks buy but he sometimes tries to bite the stingray. He used to do it a lot but now he just sort of stops and leaves the stingray be. Any suggestions?

er why is this here in the filtration and setup area ?

I think the discus are too small and most likely will be bullied...

oh srry about the forum thing... messed it up.

Jardinis are notorious for being aggressive. Mine was 7" when it killed a 5.5" pbass and harassed a 4.5" to near death. Had to put up a divider in the tank for the until the day i sold him. It might work out for now, but one day it might snap and kill them.

I had a 10 inch jar for 2 days before it had all 6 of my dats cornered and tried to kill them

Have there any been a case of a tame Jardini? And i also heard that if you get a large school of 1 certain type of fish then the Jardini would leave them alone. Is that true?

jardini are agressive and will outgrow the discus. motoros have been known to kill discus as well. depends on the termperment of your fish towards others smaller than them.
discus also tend to do better in groups of 6 or more. only 3 might create more stress for them and cause problems considering the jardini prowling the upper tank and the ray prowling the lower.
could be an expensive dinner.
