Discus and One Angel

Hey Forum,

I have a 75gal tank with a variety of discus sizes from 1'' to 6". I know this isn't right for the smaller guys but its temporary.

I have a monsterous (7''-8") veil angel in this tank (the only angel) who picks on all the discus smaller than 6". I know i have to expect that with the fish under 4" but if i got another large angel would he/she focus more on the angel and less on the discus?

also can someone tell me the type of angel that has a darkish/black body with a shinny green center?

Sometimes. tho when i had discus problems, these guys where the only ones with the right answers. Its probably just a cyclical thing and people aren't trolling
 
I use to try and help people on this forum regularly. It got to be frustrating however, when people would ask for advice, several people would give them good advice, and then they would do something ill advised anyway. Oh well, do you have a picture of the fish? I suspect your angel will show agression toward any fish, regardless of species, that it can chase and shove around.
 
HIllbilly, I always appreciate your advice, especially yours!! I will get a picture up soon. The angel, counting the fins, is easily larger than any of the discus. I was hoping that another angel would distract him a little or completely.
 
yeah i dunno, i started a thread asking about adding discus in with my wild caught angels in my 120g and was told that angels and discus together are not a good idea and that the angels will pick at the discus so i decided to not go with it
