Discus and Tetras?

can 4-6 discus be housed in a 185 gallon tank with a large school of small tetras and other small fish?

Yes, but avoid fin nippers. Cardinals and Rummynoses make acceptable tank mates. They must be able to survive water temps. in the 80s F.

Just make sure that the discus are not large and tetra being on the smaller size. They will end up being snack.

Hi there... With discus, ime, they are happiest when there are at least 6 of them.. You could easily have 6-8 along with a large school of rummys or cards with a bn for algae etc. With your other fish just remember the best temps for discus are 82-84 so the other fish will have to be comfortable at those temps as well.
