What are the odds of a group of Discus and my seven juvie Uaru's surviving together in a 180? Has anyone ever heard of this occurring before? Pic's?

I am interested in keeping Discus, but would hate to get rid of my Uaru's.

i would no no to this.uaru are rough fellow.

dont see it working out too long....

Uaru A. are one of the least aggresive cichlids there is. Depending on tank size and the size of the uaru compared to discus, it could work. Uaru can become territorial, but that doesnt happen as much in a group of six or more. They do grow large and are greedy feeders. But i would not call them rambunctious.

I would just stick to the 7 uaru in the 180gal though. Although a tank with a group of uaru and discus in a home aquarium would be a first in my books.

Dont do bro Discus are very weak.. Even though Urau are pretty passive.... they cant take anything!

I tried to do it but had to take the uaru out. It would bully my discus and hog the food. Even though my discus fight alot amongst themselves and bully smaller fish like my rams and loaches, they really are sissies when another fish same size as them attempts to bully them. I tried puting in peaceful cichlids such as uaru and chocolate cichlid but had to take them out not after long.
