So i was watchin my discus and they we're just roaming around and when they got close to eachother they started swimming really close together and started changing really orange and yellow and they're black stripes we're going away and coming back. They're 2 wild blue tefe about 4 inches. Could this be mating?

Yes. Sounds like it

I wouls say courting, maybe. I wouldn't say the fish are necessarily stunned just yet. It depends on their age on their stran. I have ones that are just REALLY slow growers, so theres nothing wrong with a 4" discus. just as long as they still look juvi they will continue to grow little by little.

I say they are stunted because at 4".. Discus shouldnt be able to breed yet. Around the 5.5"-6"+ is when a fully developed Discus can be able to breed.

I wouldn't say they were stunted till I actually veiwed a pic. Just remember that discus are cichlids and territorial so chasing and slight variations in color are completly normal...............
