Any good advices on discus fishes and breeding and not letting them die? if i get good results in the coming exam i might get a larger tank and some dicus, so i nid really good advices first
First off when they lay eggs, you need to separate the parents and the eggs either with a tank divider or to a different tank. After they hatch they must stay with their parents for a certain amount of time, they feed off the slime of the mother discus. (Fish milk. eww.) And need excellent water quality. Once the fry are eating whole foods, take the parents out. Start out feeding moderately, until the reach about 1 inch, then feed them 3 - 5 times a day with a high protein diet, and with daily water changes... Hope this helps!
