Could i keep some discus fish in a 10 gal.? i have a dillemma ahead of me. Wal-mart has a deal with a 10 gal aquarium with filter, water conditioner, etc.. for $50. BUT they have a 55 gal setup with all that stuff for $160. should i splurge?

ok. what would be good for the 10 gal.?

I say forget both Walmart deals and start checking out Craigslist.com
I just picked up a 90 g with oak stand and unused Fluval 404 for $200.00

With a bigger tank for cheaper cash, you can spend more $$ on better fish and better fish food.

I keep a piranha in my 10. My piranha is only 4" but gets 24"! It's Black Rhombeus. I am setting up another 10 gallon for feeder goldfish and rosy reds.

try this:
1 betta
6 harlequin rasboras
7 pygmy cories.

You will outgrow a 10G in no time!
Save some $$ and buy the largest tank you feel comfortable with. It doesn't have to be huge but anything is better than a 10.
Discus are an advanced fish; learn the basics before keeping them.

ok. thanks!
