I get my discus shipped from MD and it only costs $90 for a box of 5 that are 5.5" to 6"

I can vouch for UPS Prices. They are outrageous. The only way they are shipping for $90 is if they have an account. Even if you have an account you have to ship so many packages per month to get the discount price. They pro rate it based on the number of packages you ship. If he is a hobbyist and selling a few here and there, he will not get a discount.

Yeah that's true. The discus I get are shipped fed ex anyway and i'm sure he gets discounts since he sells a lot of fish. I ship ups and in order to hit $140 for shipping overnight that discus must be shipped in 9 gallons of water. I've mailed 12" RTCs overnight in 5 gallons of water and it only cost $97 for ups overnight.
