Want to buy some discus from somebody who has breed and raised the babies in 100%ro water, I want to get some but put them in well water (can be as high as 300ppm) how long should I take to acclimate the dime to quarter sized babies. My plan was put them in a cycled 20 gallon with pure rodi water and raise the ppm by 10-20 parts per day would this work?

Whats the sellers TDS reading on his RO water? Your RO/DI produces cleaner water , the DI stage cleans up anything that gets by the membrane.
Make sure they are eating well and acclimated before changing water parameters.. I did daily water changes until they got to half dollar size.
Then started adding tap water and increasing TDS from 80 to 250 over a period of a month .. GL
