I did a bad a thing and got a discus from Craigslist that is not eating. The person I got it from mentioned that it is not eating. I need some help to try to make it eat food. I heard garlic can help stimulate a fish to eat but have never tried it. Any help and ideas would be great. I don't know anything about its past except that it stop eating. Let's not make a four inche discus die.

CLEAN water! Lots of water changes! Soften the water! Get it some live bloodworms or live blackworms goodluck!

Make sure your temp is high super perfect water quality and bloodworms is your best bet I have had this problem before it will be fine a few days with out eating could just be scared

If his poop is white, separate it, raise the temps. And dose with metro and prazi. Do 50 percent WC daily and re medicate after. Do this for a week. After a week, it should start eating. Raise temps to 86.

Meanwhile, fine live blackworms to feed them until they eat. Siphon out any uneaten food.
