hello. i have many tanks, but no discus so far.

BUTTTTT- i want to make my 6ftx2ftx1.8ft a discus display.

ill put loads of driftwood for look and to lower ph for discus.
ill put some amazon sword and java moss .
and ill put some discus and bristlenose+ some others

i have nice white sand which ill keep there :D.
i have 2 cannisters and 1 internal pumping out just bout 10X the tanks volume in water turnover.

how many discus, 8? (no daily water changes from overstocking thank you)

can i put one of my breeding pairs of kribs in there?

i dont care about their fry.

what is a good ph for discus?

should i leave it and let the wood do its work?

also. what are other good tank mates any odd balls??

no neons or that ****e.

apart from bristlenose what cat fish could i add?

from experience what have you done.?

so. white sand, driftwood, amazon sword +java moss, 2 flower pots for kribs,

what else?

what temp? 29-30 degrees celsius?

all opinions from you appreciated....

thank you.

What you have sounds good. A lot of people say that discus are better by themselves buuut, I have mine in with an aro, lima, bichir, and 2 rays and they get along great. I think 8 sound like a good number. I have 4 in my 120 which is only 5 ft. long and I wouldn't mind adding a few more. They are great fish and have great personalities.

in a 3x2x2 (90 gallons) with a sump and a cannister (=over 10x volume in filtration flow)
same deco= a few rocks lots of driftwood and a few plants.

could i do 5-8 discus? what else.
needed 125 for something else.
so this will be my display......
