discus in planted tank

is it true that discus dont grow to their max size in a planted tank??

thanks lupin... that was some good info. gotta start doin some light wcs so i dont stunt my fish. my lfs told me to just top off and wc when i have to bc the plants will take out the water impurities... fish are healthy and eat like pigs but i will start wcs
