Im clearing my tank out of all my rainbowfish and my zebra danios and my fish that wont go well with discus. I was wondering if rope/reed/eelfish would work with discus..I am also keeping my hoplosternum thoracatum in there. Will there be any problems? The temp will be at 28 degrees celsius.

Thanks :D

Also the dimensons of the tank are 120 (L) cm x 50 (H) cm x 40 (W) cm :D

Any other fish that you might now think would live with discus? I was thinking maybe channa guacha..Would they be to agressive?

in my opinion I would keep the discus alone in a only discus tank but that is just me.

No..Im looking to get them some unusual tankmates..:D

have you had discus before, I'm just giving you a few heads up. if you want some tank mates, Kory catfish but that's about it. do you plan on getting small or big discus, please do your research! and I hope you get 5-6 at minuium.

Yeah I have corys. Im not getting anymore fish apart from discus and maybe a few more cories. I have got 3, 2 acclimating as I type, at the minuite but I am definatly building up my shoal and hopefully breeding them.

I keep 2 discus with 2 senegal bichirs, 1 ornate, 1 klown knife, 1 ghost knife, 3 ancistrus, and the discus are doing just great.

A few days ago I got 4 Erpetoichthys calabricus aka ropefish and 2 endlicheri and 2 congicus in my quarantine tank. I intend to mix them all up, and I belive there won't be any problems, as there were none so far.

By the way,for how long should I quarantine my new Polypteridae?
