Well after a month and a half or two I finally got a pair out of the 5 tangerine discus I got. They paired off and a day and a half later laid eggs on the filter tube.

now wat would the odd be they they layed eggs on the filter tube right above where the babies would be vacuumed if they drop?
I turned the filter off after they layed the eggs and put a sponge filter in the tank. I couldn't believe it because it is a 55 gallon tank with a cascade canister filter that is large enough for a 125 gallon tank so I imagine some eggs were sucked up.
