Will discus go with these fish:

1x black ghost knife (just got it!)
1x leopard ctenopoma
5x clown loaches
1x fire eel
1x severum
3x tinfoil barbs

I have a blood-red parrot in the tank. It's a little pushy and I have no problems getting rid of it if I have to. To make room for 4 discus, I will remove the tinfoil barbs to avoid overcrowding. Silver Dollars grow smaller than tinfoil barbs. Would 3 silver dollars work better than 3 tinfoil barbs if I need target fish or should I just leave the silver dollars out and ditch the tinfoils?

Ultimately, here is what I want:

4x Discus
1x Severum
1x Black Ghost Knife
1X Fire Eel
5x Clown Loaches
1x Leopard Ctenopoma

If this will not work with discus, which fish will pick on them?

I'm no Discus expert but I'm pretty sure they do best in a species only tank. If they have tank makes it's usually not so aggressive fish....

i know the Clown Loaches should be fine.

I suggest you set up a separate tank for discus, get rid of the other fish, or forget about it. Discus do best with their own kind. Discus trapped in a glass box with other species will likely have long term negative effects, stress, disease, stunting, and reluctance to breed. You may initially get away with it for months. However, environments such as this and others, like juvie discus in planted tanks, are detrimental to the long term health and growth of the fish.

tinfoils and severms would be a no. rams, rainbowfish and dwarf gouramis work well for me
