How many if any 2-3" discus could I keep in a 10 gal. temporarily as a growout. I have a AC50 and a tetraph10 filter on it. Will they eat bloodworms consistently.

I would not consider using a 10g even for a breeder tank so, I'd say 1/2 a discus to 1 whole one.

A 10 gal. is too small. A 37 gal. would be a good growout tank for little ones. They can be picked up at good prices too.

The smallest tank I use is a 20 gal. "tall" (24"x 13"x 17" tall) for breeding pairs. After 2 weeks the pair is removed from the fry. After the fry grow to an inch or so, they are removed to a larger tank. Point is, even my 20 gal. breeding tanks are limited in size when it comes to discus.

discuss needs 10 gal each
a 10 gal growout i'll keep 2
if you want more get a 35-37g bare bottom
