no nipping.. the bettas been there for about 3 months.. the discus are not shy at all.. they run that tank. we call the betta napoleon. the discus are not shy when you walk up to the tank they swim to the glass.. no fear..
give them some cover and they should colour up more or even black water extract. look very nice though 
we are going to add some blue sand to the tank...(husband and I are on kinda a blue kick)...we are going to move the sevs soon... i have a 110 gallon tank that idk what im going to do with. i want to set it up.. but idk where
