Discus temp?

What temp do discus need?I know 30 degrees is best but what is the lowest they can take?

26 is a bit too cold for discus. Im sure they would survive in that temp, but they wouldnt thrive long term. IMO, bare minimum is 28.

Hi Discus need warm water.. To thrive they should really be kept at 82-86 so around 28/30. You might want to take a look at my thread "are you thinking of keeping discus" which is kind of an attempt at a discus basics for beginners.. HTH Sue

It's sounds to me that besides the temperature problem you were not going to mix the discus with compatible tank mates.
