Discus with Broken Fin?

I recently took in a discus that a guy bought from the LFS and thought he could keep. When I got him he had a chunk missing out of his top fin but other than that was in good shape. It took me a while to get him eating but he finally started so I took him out of quarantine and put him in my FW comm tank. He's been doing good for the past two weeks but today I noticed that he is keeping his left fin tucked into his side and wont use it at all.

Is it broke? Anything I can do?
 
If it is not too badly damaged it should grow back unless infected with fungus or something
 
I think it is just a thing with discus. Not sure where I read it but sometimes they just don't use one fin, usually the left. I think it is the same with the gills sometimes they just dont use one. I think it was something to look for when you purchase one. Id just keep your water perfect for him, I reckon thats all you can really do.
