I have 5 discus with about 20 schooling fish (roselines, rummy noses, neons, redfin) the problem i am having is feeding the discus. I throw some flakes in and the schooling fish get them 1st no matter how much i put in.... I did blood worms also but same.... the discus barely get any of the worms.. Any tips?

Aside from removing the schooling fish? Beef heart , sera discus food something that sinks rapidly so the discus can graze off the bottom. Mine like massivore btw

I agree sinking pellets so the Discus can slowly pick at them. Discus like to graze off the bottom. You will see them blow water at the food to raise it off the bottom and then eat it as it floats. Depending on the size of your fish I use NLS .5mm Grow Formula or 1mm Thera A+.

Throw in flakes and sinking pellets at the same time. The flakes will distract the dither while giving the pellets a head start to the bottom. Get as big a pellet as the discus are able to take, so less chance of dither being able to pick off pellets too.
