If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! I just set up a 55g discus tank, and added my first two discus along with two rams and bleeding and those pink stripe tetras (not sure there name) they have been in the tank for 3 days now and today I noticed my blue diamond has a white patch by his fin, it kind of looks like a scrap but I'm not sure, he doesn't seem to want to eat anything either. I have attached some pictures please help

Additional info: ammonia= 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 0
PH= 8 (tab water I'm using) I have raised the temp and am about to do a 30 water change and add aquarium salt

Add some salt 1 tabelspoon per 5 gallons of water. How long have you had the discus? How long has this tank be running? Did you qt the new fish before you put them in the display tank? What is the water temprature?

Tank has been running for 3 years, I removed the carbon when adding the discus I have had the two discus for 4 days now, temp is at 84. And sadly I think I really screwed up by not quarantining it, my Qt tank is now housing baby jewel cichlids from my other tank. I got the fish from a very reputable place, but I guess this is what I get. Could it be from the live plants I added? Anubis and argentine swords. He swims at night though when the moon lights are on. Durning day stays at bottom of tank won't eat.

If you have to treat the main tank, use a combination of API Fungas Cure and Triple sulfa. Do a 50% water change and treat using the Fungas Cure at full dosage and 3x at half doseage always wait at least 30 mins after adding any declor before adding the Funguas cure. Treat as per instructions on the package. Keep me posted on results.

Thanks so much for the response I think since he is the only one showing signs of sickness I may just put him in a QT tank and treat him there, what do you think about that? And yes I am using tap water which is an 8 PH everything I have read says not to mess with it! As long as it is consistent. Thanks again for the response.

A QT tank will work. Do a couple of good water changes in the main tank. 8 is high for Discus but not somthing that hasn't been done before. Domestics are more adaptable to higher levels. Just keep the water very clean with low nitrates and they will be fine. Correct acclamation is key after that they will be fine.

Thanks,
Unfortunately by the time I got my QT tank set up for him he had died :( I have no idea what it was but within 23rd he got sick and died along with a blue ram. All other fish seem to be doing fine for the moment sick tho that I lost him only having it for four days. Thanks for the advice I now have medicine and a QT tank now incase . Any suggestions for my tank now other then just watch it?
