I AM LEGEND!
my discus skin is peeling off is what it this their just a open wound now

how long have you had the discus?

have you tested your water lately? there could be excess amounts of stress on the fish which is causing an infection. Im not sure what the best medication would be if it were an infection of somesort so ill let someone else handle that. none the less water tests are a must to ensure you rule out any possible causes of illness.

If I interpret your post correctly, you think your discus skin is peeling off? OK, what looks like skin peeling, is actually an increase in the fish's slime production. If your fish has an open wound, then this is the fish's body trying to protect itself from infection. Excess slime production can be caused by a number of things. If you give us a little more information, perhaps with complete sentences, hopefully we can be more helpful. It was hard to follow. :)

yea its a open wound i tested water everything perfect and it looks like slime is tring to keep it form being infected anything i should do? i got him for about 5 days so might be stress form a 2hr drive?

Some people treat the water with antibiotics for wounds. Personally, I would keep the water clean, and let it heal on it's own. Discus can scrape themselves badly on sharp rocks and pointy driftwood when startled. Lava rocks seem to be the worst for this. I would suggest you modify or remove any such object that your discus could injure itself on to prevent any further injuries. Good luck.

its a bare bottom tank with heater and sponge filter though

Perhaps the scrape happened when the fish was moved? At any rate, most wounds will heal fine on their own if the fish live in good conditions.

kk thanks alot ill ask you if anything else comes up thanks again
