okay so due to my stupidity and total lack of self control I now have a Delhezi bichir that will be housed with discus will this work?

yeah it should be fine, but like many people have said before, it depends on the fish. An overly aggressive or territorial bichir is relatively rare, so it should be okay.

FishGoneWild (cichlidsgonewild on youtube) has discus in with all his polys and it works okay.

my delhezi is pretty chill. But since his 55g home will soon be brakish i gotta mo him

Its a 55g, with an Eheim 2217. The bichir is small and pretty tame.

They might seem tame, but once the lights go out its a different story ;)

well when I'm feeding I can get him to rest on my hand, he will even let you pick him up if its night time and he is awake. He doesn't even like to be netted but he is cool with someone just scooping him up with their hand.... So yeah pretty tame... most of the time he doesn't even notice tankmates unless they are about the size of a ghost shrimp.

Eoin should know all about this. He has a 75 with sens, a del and discus, if i'm not mistaken.
