What is going in with my discus? Does this look like hole in the head to you or something else? Thanks.

permiters? it does not look like hith I have heard discus get black speckles sometimes when trying to blend in our camouflage

120 gallon, 9 discus in total, one fire eel and two angels. I thought he scraped himself on dragon stone in the aquarium or some of the drift wood. Just in case, I treated with General Cure for 10 days. But it doesnt look like its getting better. Tank water is perfect. I do weekly water changes. 20-30 gallons. Ive been having a string of bad luck with them for the past 4 months. Ive had him for more than three years. I’m really confused by whats going on.

keeping them in aquariums with dark decor or back grounds can cause this not harmful to the fish

He’s always had black specks. The breeder I buy from usually has black spots on them. Its the hole thats bothering me.

What brand of meds do you guys use for hole in the head? I don’t think the general cure is working out for him. Is there anything stronger or different meds I can give him with?

Im in canada so we dont have access to most fish meds but when my oscars developed hith I did constant large water changes and it cleared up but keep doseing general cure as well
