.....choose the specific anemone you have? Is it based on color? size?

Did you have the anemone in the tank before or after adding clownfish?

After adding an anemone to a tank, what has been, roughly, the time scale for this to hosted by fish?

Do you feel an anemone is an important part of a reef tank? Is one needed when a tank houses clownfish?

Why do you feel zooanthelle is important to an anemone?

well i haven't actually picked one up yet but i do plan on getting a rose bubble tip nem soon

it will be after

n/a

no. my clown has been just dandy without one for a year and a half (2 yrs?) if anything they are a calculated risk

aside from giving the nem almost if no all it's color?
and it's symbiotic relationship giving it food?
not much :D

I had the most beautiful, dark, tomato clown for almost 4 years... He was already full size when I got him as well, so Im assuming that he was older when I made my purchase. A rouge fish-sitter, did him and everything else off though...it was a sad day. At any rate, he lived happily for 4 years only hosting in his tubeworm as you can see in my avatar. He also attempted in habiting: hairy mushrooms, mushrooms, condalactus gigantea, and xenia... in order of most time spent in each. Eventually though, he settled on the tube worm... and the tubeworm would not close up with the clown rustled him up... If I cast a shadow over the tubeworm with my hand however, it would completely withdraw immediatly...so thats somewhat of a symbiotic relationship.
