I've been playing around with Mollies recently. I had 8, 2 males + 6 females, they are kept at 1.012 sg. I would just like to start out by saying that I am an experienced fish keeper in all realms except one, livebearers. I thought they were born until i learned that Mollys eat cyanobacteria and algae like crazy in saltwater tanks.

For some reason, I lost one of my males after he started showing signs of a crooked spine. Now, one of my females is showing a crooked spine too. I can't figure out what is causing this. I haven't tested my water yet, but I do a 5 gallon water change every week in a 10g. I run a sponge filter as well, so I have serious doubts that is a problem with the nitrogen cycle. I may try throwing some carbon in if you guys think it would be helpful. I've read a little about fish TB, and some sort of parasite, but is there anything else it could be causes from?

Thanks.
