HI, I HAVE A FIGURE EIGHT PUFFER ABOUT AN INCH LONG. I GOT HIM AROUND TWO WEEKS AGO AND NOW HES DEVELOPED ECCESS SLIME COATING AND SOMEWAT CLOUDY EYES AND ALSO THE BASE OF ALL HIS FINS ARE WHITE. HE IS ACTING FINE DURING THE DAY BUT A LITTLE WEIRD AT NIGHT. HE EATS STILL ALSO. COULD ANYONE HELP ME FIND OUT WATS WRONG WITH CORNELIUS. OH ALSO HE NOW HAS TINY SPOTS ALL OVER NOT LIKE ICH THO. THEIR MORE BROWNISH. P.S. BRACKISH 10 GALLON SHARING WITH GREEN SPOTTED PUFFER, THREE BLUE LEGGED HERMIT CRABS, BUMBLE BEE GOBY, AND A DALMATION MOLLY.

Umm... I could be crazy... but thats way to small a tank for one puffer let alone two. the Fig 8 requires min 30gal, and I'm pretty sure the GSP requires 50gal. Do you test your parameters? What are they?

Anyways the tank is the problem your water quality is bad, which is damaging your fishes eyes and fins.

The "brownish" spots are an ich Turbellarian or "black ich" which is a parasitic flatworm.

But in general I could be wrong, but you will have to post post your water parameters and pictures of the effected fish for us to diagnose your fishes illness better.
