Since I own a few micropeltes, sometimes they fell sick without warning (at the first stage of keeping them). And just wanna share to all of you what I've been dealing with. If anyone have experiencing this please share how to settle down this problems or how to avoid it. Hopefully this will be a good guide for newcomers to keep snakehead. And also if there any other diseases please share with us.

When I bought a few micros from LFS, one of them got two bumps on his head. Firstly I thought it is because of fighting each others. About 2 days later that bumps shift to his side of his head and I'm starting to feel something wrong. I watch it for a moment and theres a movement. Finally I found it and thats are argulus (after googling... J). And I remove it manually (I’m not sure the right way... J). I've reallize that this is about bad water condition. When I bought them, they've been put inside tank without any filteration system. Just 2 inches of water. Just imagine that!

Another one is I don't know what kind of disease. I just attached the photos for you to analyze that. My micro scale getting dry on infected area and spread from time to time. His fin was also infected too. My micro starting won’t eat anything. And he just last for almost 2 weeks in quarantine tank. I have no idea wheres this disease come from.

If anyone have been dealing with this before please share about it.
Cheers.

I got these before.....
For me. I took the fishes out and put in a tub
Slowly use tweezers to pinch and pull the fish lice off... Careful don't injure the fish.. I remember making a thread about it. I lost a few micros to it...

They come from the wild. DO NOT put them in your display tanks... They will spread to other fishes, multiply and destroy your stock...
I remember seeing them at my lfs and all were infected with these fish lice... Some even had no scales left.. With over 30 of those on the 3 inch baby bodies

For sure anti parasites won't work for them... I tried. Fastest way is with tweezers. Slowly adding small amounts of salt to the quarantine tank might help loosen the parasites from the body. But not a lot as Snakehead are sensitive to salt

I don't know if Clout is availabel to you but it contains Organophosphates which is effective in treating fish lice. Copper can also be used as an alturnative as it is highly toxic to crustations.
