Disinfecting a knife tank

Has anyone done it before? My tank is infested with itch parasites and bacteria - fin rot, ulcers - and fungus. My clown loaches and swordtails in the same tank died. The BGK and CL are almost unaffected though. Still, I want to rid the nasties in there.

I bought BeFuran but hasn't use it yet.
