I got home from work today to discover my tiger Oscars jaw slanted and not being able to fully close her mouth, she also looks like she is gasping for air.

Has anyone else had this experience and how can I fix it?

Welcome aboard :)

Post a pic if possible. What other fish are in with the Oscar?

The only reason I don’t think that this is the case is because they have never fought. My albino is the biggest sook.

I think it’s more my tiger getting spooked and running into the glass, I’ve seen her do it before.

That could have happened.

I have fixed dislocated jaws on Petenia splendida, by catching the cichlid and gently snapping it back into place, between my thumb and forefinger.
But its hard to tell from the photo whether the lower jaw is dislocated, or perhaps the jaw bone is actually broken fullsizeoutput_8cd.jpeg broken.
A photo close up of a side view might help.
