Looking for ideas for a single mid to top water fish to go with my breeding rays.

Anyone have any suggestions on cool ideas?

Arowana, Garfish, Datnoid are a popular choice.. as well as groups of silver dollars, geophagus, Oscars or Peacock Bass .. I would think a single large male dovii or Jag would be awesome but would depend on individual fish personality too...?

Chalceus (if it can't fit in the ray's mouth)?

Lots of great choices out there - probably going to come down to what won't be killed by your rays and personal preference of what you find attractive in a fish.

What kind of rays is it going over?

How big is the tank?

Single fish would be a tough choice. I prefer shoals. BUT IF you can have just one - my choice would be Aimara.
