My boss wants a display tank for his business, sence i picked up a stand from robkob thats 10x3x ( anything ) i figured i might as well get a tank to match the stand.

my question is.

should i switch to the dark side and make it a saltwater, or keep it fresh and i can take what remaining large fish i have including my frt, and put it in there, and have him pick out other exotic monsters.

what do you all think? I pretty much control this project he just wants something to look at when business is slow, and when people walk in.

keep in mind that if its a saltwater tank, I wont be making it a reef setup, its to much money, so it will have some live rock, and be mostly larger agressive saltwater fish.

yea, i've never done a saltwater tank before either, exsept for a small 12gallon cube. so if i did do saltwater it would be a new experience. but I'm sure a tank that size with some arowanas, pbass, etc.. would be pretty cool.

well you normally see saltwater tanks in offices
and they are way to expensive
i would go fresh

you normally see coral and reef setups, not a tank with monsters :D

who is going to maintain it.. if you have never done salt water before i would stick with what i have experience with in the home office.. :DJust go fresh.. maybe africans...

I have alota experience with saltwater tanks, I worked at a saltwater fish store.
I know how to maintain them, but i've never owned one over 12 gallons.

:D

If i do cichlids, i'm thinking maybe frontosa?

yes..then they can eventually pay for themselves by their size {if your boss decides later he does not want the set up or the sale of their offspring.. :D:D..is it a high traffic area..because that is the only draw back with fronts is they are shy and skiddish with sudden movements and can hurt them selves.. where as some really nice africans would be trying to get to the people they see ..feed me feed me.. they are always action out and about..
