So I just moved my marbled crayfish colony to my new tank's sump, and I've got a big plastic tub with a bunch of old crayfish water and sand in it. I'm pretty sure I've gotten all the crays out and a second inspection today (day after move) seems to confirm this, but there's no way to be 100% certain. I would normally just dump the water down my toilet and trash the wet sand, but I'm concerned that if there's even one little crayfish in there it could start a NYC sewer lobster infestation.

How should I handle this? I was thinking maybe pouring the water out through a net might do it.

Glad to see you're being that responsible with the remnants of the colony! Honestly I probably would have dumped the water without a second thought. Big ups to you sir.

Thanks, but it's pretty telling of me to worry about lobsters taking over the city but forget something simple like bleach kills fish.

Used aquarium is great for watering your landscaping if you have any. Doubt anything that small will be able to find their way from bushes to a sewer.
