We all know Fish keeping has its fads,

Like the flower horns, ebjd, aros, Birchirs in the past. Rays and peacock bass was last year. What do you think will be this years fad?

Im not trying diss anyone, i just want to start a discussion on what you think would be popular this year.

I myself think the HONDURAN JAGUAR

They have been hard to come by and not a lot of people have them yet. We do have some breeders on here that already have fry, hopefully they will be in the market this spring

I can see an increase in native keepers...a lot of MFK'ers worried about HR669

Lol im not too worried about it. i don't think it will ever pass. Im sure Pet smart and petco Pay politicians too

I think alot of natives will thrive this yr

Fads are something that fades away after time. Seeing the current number of keepers of fish that you described as fads, I would hardly describe any of those fish as fads. Maybe better described as trends.

Myself I do not see a particular fish as being the new trend, but more of a trend towards huge tanks to properly house the fish that are kept.

i don't see them as fads ,just people wanting something different than the usual.

Also DSLR picture treads :D

That would be awesome. I think that with more resources becoming available, people will do more research on what they buy before they buy it and we will have less Redtail Catfish and Pacus in 30 gallon tanks.
