So I just started my advanced anatomy class and I found out that there will be a cadaver dissection in one of my labs. I am so excited for this! Any one here a doctor or done a human dissection before?
In the past, I have done, fetal pigs, sharks, clams, cows, squid, sheep, & cats (including a live one that I performed an exploratory surgery on when I was working at a vets office), and I have skinned and skeletonized quite a bit for my demestid colony including a uromastix, EDB rattlesnakes, and a veiled chameleon. Don't worry these were all already dead or in a classroom environment- I'm not a serial killer or anything.
I know it is morbid but this sort of thing fascinates me and I cannot wait to see everything in real life and discover how it works and how everything connects. I have learned that pictures and text do not do an organism justice but the dissections just seem to reveal SO much more than you could ever read.
SO EXCITED!
