Has anyone ever kept one of these? I'm interested in getting one for my 70 gallon once I swing it to an African Biotope, I have read it likes plants a little and doesn't get extremely large. I am on the look out for a more active fish for my tank.

Has anyone had any experience or suggestions?

Thanks, Hendre

That would be silver distichodis right? Never kept one personally, but they can be fin nippers, they prefer a diet with a high vegetable content (fresh peas and such) and like a little water movement in their tank,it is recommended to only keep one distichodus per tank.

I understand silver distichodus can be kept in groups more easily than other distichodus species. If I can find some I'd like to get a small group to keep in my 360 gal with uaru, chocolate cichlids, geos, and a few smaller fish. Need to find some first thoiugh.

Seen some today whilst buying other fish they are neat little fish but pricey £14.95 each for inch long fish but would work fine in a tank your size
