Just an FYI for my fellow MFKers.

If there is anyone looking for some really nice Distichodus sexfasciatus, they have some at Tropic Isle in Framingham, MA.

They were $70 a piece...pretty good size and in great condition. They also have a coupon online to save $20 when you spend over $50, so after that it would be $50.

Just thought I would let you guys no because I don't see them very often.

I've been looking for em for a while now... how big is "pretty good size"? i only saw em once b4 at a lfs, $25 for an 1incher... so....

I just bought 1 today. My 1st african fish, I swore that I would only keep SA / CA fish, but they are just soooo friggin nice looking. I paid $30.00 for 2.5''. I got it at Ocean Blue in socal. He (Brian) has 4 more at 4-5'' for $50.00. I put it in a 30g planted tank that is currently holding 4 c. sveni pikes that im trying to get a breeding pairout of. The orange/black/red looks insane in this heavily planted green tank.

Your new sexfasciatus will eat up your plants pretty soon.

my DS was RRREEEAALLLY aggresive...he would beat up my tinfoil barbs scalelessly...he would also stress my arowana who would eventually beat up my pangasius...they are nasty when it comes to territorialism...great and beautifully wonderful fish :nilly: :headbang2 however!

Then this is a good thing cause this planted tank is almost out of control and needs a pruning fish.
