Haha, I was harvesting some grape caulerpa and I tried some. It was quite salty, but tasted fine...I rinsed some more and ate it and it was pretty good actually.
 
Things that come out of saltwater generally taste salty. And I am a bit concerned for your safety. Just FYI, Lionfish do taste salty, but a bit more spicy.
 
i think ive seen alot of those things in Hawaii, people called em sea grapes and made salad out of it lol

have you ever read the back of a bottle of chemicals that are added into your tank, they say not for human consumption or for use on fish to be consumed lol. Plants are similar and absorb a lot of whats put in the water, im surprised you didnt have any nauseation or anything.

Well is synthetic sea salt toxic? It's the only thing I've added...
