Hi I have a 270lt tank that will be housing some convicts, sajicas, rainbows, firemouths, nicaraguenses. All are juveniles except rainbows. Total number wont exceed 6. For this setup which livebeareres, cypriniformes and tetra species do you recommend and in what numbers? I want a colorful active tank and a little crowded wont bother me.

Btw I will have about 6 Corydoras as well do you think they will survive?

go with a group of 6-8 giant danios

I think giant danios might be too big for my space. Plus they are hard to find here. I rather want to take the advantage of having no predators and wish to keeps smaller and more diverse dithers. Any more suggestions?

When your fishes will grow there will be a little spaces in your tank... no need of dither fishes. But try with Limia or Goodeids like Ataenobius toweri.

If you want to keep it CA, you can safely put livebearers in the tank that your planning. Always keep a ratio of 1 male to 4 females though.

Good luck, lee.

I agree. I've had good luck w/ swordtails. Platties work well too.

Silverdollars, spanner barbs, rosy barbs, tiger barbs, black skirt tetas, neon tetras, cardinal tetras, cory cats, etc... will all work in my personal experience!
