I Currently Have A Group Of Festae From .5in To 2.5in
Im Looking To Add A Group Of Dither Fish Because From Time To Time The 2.5in Male Will Chase The Others.
I Recently Added One Algae Eater Which Was Around 3in And As Soon As I Acclimated The Algae Water All Of Them Started To Chase Him And He Died The Next Day. The Strange Part Is That He Wasn’t Bruised So Did He Die From Stress?
From My Research Many People Say That Silver Dollars Are The Best.

Do You Think I Should Get A Group Of Silver Dollars Or Would They Get Beaten Up Or Stressed Out And Die? Should I Get Them At 1in Or Bigger?

my festae's dithers are 12 red tail tinfoil barbs

You can see a few of their faces in the background.

Tinfoils get huge, so I'd only consider them if you have a huge tank. Silver dollars can take a decent beating and stay much smaller than tinfoils.

Just make sure the silver dollars you put in there start out larger than the festae to give them a chance of being able to last.

Good luck. I tried using SDs for dither, and it didn't end well. They were all destroyed within a week. They got massacred. Giant danios have actually faired best for me.

Silver dollars are great dithers and for drawing shy fish out. I think you are looking for target fish, basically, fish used to spread aggression. I would get convicts or any other tough small cichlid. My festae hated convicts with a passion and ignored the silver dollars. The convicts are used to aggression and won't simply roll over and die. I would also separate the 2.5" from the rest, one using a divider.
