ok well i have a 8 inch midas in an 85 gallon tank with a pictus cat to clean up but the midas has it hiding in the rock caves all the time anyways i was wondering if you think i could put some silver dollars or tiger barbs with it to maybe not have him focus on the pictus and not kill the dollars or barbs. i could always just take the pictus out but what do you think?

I'd try some silverdollars, or exdons.

Pike...

Pictus like to have company they dont like to be alone, they do best in groups.

Exodons will nip the fins of your RD the tiger barbs may do so was well.

Silver dollars get large and need schoal to be happy + 85g is not a large tank.

Maybe try a group of 5 giant danios?

Your RD may be one that will eventually refuse to live with anyone> i've had a couple that refused to live with ANYTHING, even my hand.

silver dollars are south american

So? RD's are Central American.

My vote goes for silver dollars (at least 6)

Silver Dollars are my favorite dither too, but he only has 85g to work with. A 12+ fish with 6- 5" + fish will be getting really over crowded.
