  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have giant danios and tiger barbs with my 9" midas, but he grew up with them since he was little. He beats up my Honduran Red Points and doesnt touch my dithers.

cats prefer to not be seen its normal no need for any dither fish

its not that hes just chilling in his cave its when he comes out the midas will always go after him and chase him back in.

well thanks everyone for your advice i think ill try out the dainos first and see what happens.

i'd say silver dollars get a little too big for the 85 :(

i had a silver dollar grow from 2 inch to almost 4.5 inch in little over 3 months

If you're going with the Giant Danios you should be know that they are skilled jumpers, and will flee the tank if your Midas/RD stresses them. I had 5 with my female RD. 4 jumped, and one well it just disappeared:D. Just make sure that you try to cover all exits, as it is better to have a well fed fish than a stinky room.;)

If you go with giant danios, get a large school, otherwise they will just get picked off. For an 85g tank, I would say at least 10.
