dither fish for NTT

one of my NTT has been picking on the other. there are plenty of hiding spaces in the tank but i have noticed his fins have been getting ripped... so today i bought 3 geophagus brasiliensis.. i didnt do my hw before buying the fish and just realized that the geos are pretty aggressive and nippy. should i return the geos? if so what should i replace them with? '

my NTT are 2.5" tank is 40g. tankmates are guppies, platys and swordtails. for some reason my dats arent chasing the platys and swords.

You need to add another Dat. 2 is the worst number of dats you can have. Add a 3rd dat asap and the geos should be fine.

Yea I got a 3rd dat in there now too.. It's smaller than the other 2 originals but he's got heart. After I released him into the tank he was picking fights with the bully dat

You should be fine then. The rule with Dats is typically only 1, or the more the merrier.
