I currently have 4 ~125G mixed community tanks that hold my ~40 plecos. I'm starting to setup my replacement tanks for 3 of them. My 580 will have all my mid and top water fish (it is 40" tall). So my 300 (31"X31"X70 for plecos <6") and my 270 (2H X 3W X 6L for plecos >11") won't have any dither fish. My mid-size plecos will go in the 580 and babies in a 125 to grow out.

What are good dither fish for large plecos (L014, L418, L234, L330, L190, L027, L155, L083, L001, etc.) they roam around fairly well, but a little more action would look nice.

My smaller plecos will need some dither fish or they'll be hiding too much (L114, L018, L177, L065, L029, L048, L047, L203, L090, L128, L200, L007, L136, L91, etc.)

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd go with a school of cardinal tetras, bosemani rainbows, or roseline barbs to get some more action in the tank

I like the cardinal tetra idea. I could even put them in my baby pleco tank. I have two 1.5" albino adonis I'm growing out that need some company.

Good ideal! I like wide-bar silver dollars and red hooks. These may work in the big pleco tank I'm getting from you Sickfish. I only have 4 regular ~5" silver dollars now. I added 250 cardinals to my pending order with Snookn21. Will have to start looking around for the others, but can't get them until I set up your 270G.

Just picked up 16 nice rainbow fish from blkg35. Will probably get another 16. I may try mixing some cardinals in with them. This should give some good action and color to one of my pleco tanks. And picked up another dozen plecos from 2" to 14" from All-Happy! Also a pleco looking black fish with a huge sucker mouth but smooth skin (some kind of loach?) I'll try and get some pictures in a few days.
