would tiger barbs be good dither fish for 2-3inch gt,1-2 inch jd and convict?

Not sure about tiger barbs but i bought 6 giant danios as dithers for my midas, texas, and jd tank and they are working out great. Are tiger barbs fast enough to get away?

We tried Barbs before but they eventually were not fast enough and ended up being a snack.

Tiger barbs should be fine for a while in your tank. They are not, however, going to be permanent residence. But the time being, yes, they will work. The fish you have are not going to be able to pose a threat to the Tigers until they reach a longer lenght, (so about in a two months)

I tried 5 tiger barbs (1.5") with my 5" green terror. They were all eaten within 2 weeks.

I used tinfoil barbs. They worked great.

I'm using feeder livebearers myself. Nice orange color and not a problem if they get eaten.
